Forum 011: Florian Böhm - Wait for Walk

They are standing still, lost in thought, on the phone or gazing at nothing in particular: the groups of people on Manhattan's streets, portrayed by Florian Böhm in his new series “Wait for Walk”, are all caught in a time loop waiting for the pedestrian light to change to "walk". On these large format portraits the side walk becomes a stage, where the pulsating city momentarily comes to a standstill. The rhythm of the traffic dictates the beat creating short time human constellations, fleeting self-formed group portraits.
