Mobile Exhibition on Football, Space and Economy

Football is part of the global value chain, providing worldwide media networks with non-stop stories and producing brand images worth billions of dollars. Labor migration and social inequality are also part of the world of football. The FANSHOP OF GLOBALIZATION sheds light on the economic mechanisms, political circumstances, and cultural contexts behind the changes taking place in the world economy today. For the FANSHOP five fashion labels have taken soccer jerseys from around the globe, cutting them up and refashioning them into apparel that serves purposes quite different from those originally intended. A number of large-format maps will provide background information on globalization.
