MARKO PELJHAN - SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

As "Featured Artist" of the Ars Electronica Festival 2007 GOODBYE PRIVACY, Marko Peljhan presents from 5th to 16th September at the Lentos the collaborative project series SITUATIONAL AWARENESS.

For many years Marko Peljhan deals in his collaborative projects with the technical, political and military structures of global telecommunications, weather and climate as migrations research.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS is a project series comprised of an exhibition, a live sound/signals event and an unmanned aircraft system flight demonstration. The exhibition features models of new polar system architectures, the C-Astral Spectral System unmanned platform, the Transparent World LADSAT Earth Observation Satellite mockup, models of legacy designed by the mobile research station Makrolab since 1997 as well as other documentary, sensor data display and sound material. On display is as well documentary material from the first I-TASC expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. A solar powered International Standard Payload Rack Beehive is placed in the Donaupark.
