Description of the Museum

This private collection, housed in a late 19th-century town house, presents a wide range of exquisite works of art acquired over a period of some 45 years by the Swiss collector, Alfred Baur (1865-1951). The permanent exhibition includes Chinese ceramics, jade and snuffs bottles from the 10th to the 19th centuries, as well as Japanese prints, lacquer, netsuke, and sword fittings from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
