EUROPEAN KUNSTHALLE C/O EBERTPLATZ

With the step-by-step realisation of Dorit Margreiter’s modular spatial choreography for the Ebertplatz in Cologne, the European Kunsthalle enters into the second phase of its temporal positioning. In September, the Kunsthalle opens with a screen in the covered area and an L-shaped wall element to the Ebertplatz’ western plateau. By means of her spatial choreography in an open, urban structure, the Austrian artist suggests alternative uses and ways of perceiving space. She marks a temporary, outdoor Kunsthalle that inextricably collapses “inside” and “outside” into one.
