Alfonso Gortázar. In Albis

In the exhibition In albis, ARTIUM presents the vital, sincere and fresh painting of the Bilbao-born Alfonso Gortázar. Born in 1955, he lives and works in Bilbao, where he alternates between his workshop and his job as a lecturer in painting at the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of the Basque Country. Gortázar belongs to one of the first groups of artists who graduated from the aforesaid faculty and experienced first-hand the spirit of change which, in the late seventies and early eighties, would revolutionise and epitomise Spanish art until the present.
