8 May 2008 – 28 June 2008 Barbara Klemm, Portraits of ArtistsGerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol, Blinky Palermo, Jeff Wall, Louise Bourgeois, Julian Schnabel, and Georg Baselitz: they have all had their portraits taken by the eminent German photographer Barbara Klemm. By virtue of her having worked for many years for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a large number of her pictures have been etched into our collective memory. The exhibition is also presenting her more recent, congenial photographs of “Roden Crater,” the land-art project being carried out by the American artist James Turrell in the desert of Arizona. Barbara Klemm’s unobtrusive and sensitive eye allows her to capture the distinctive and essential qualities of people, landscapes, and objects in an image.AddressMuseum Frieder BurdaLichtentaler Allee 8 b 76530 Baden-Baden phone +49 7221 39 89 80 http://www.museum-frieder-burda.de Opening HoursTuesday-Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., closed on Monday.
