Warhol - Rauschenberg - Lichtenstein - Twombly - Kiefer

The collections Erich Marx in Baden-Baden

At the core of this year's great summer exhibition at the Frieder Burda Museum in Baden-Baden is the American artist Andy Warhol. In addition, the show includes works by Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein, Twombly and Kiefer. From May 25 to October 7, 2007, the Frieder Burda Museum hosts a number of major works from the internationally renowned Marx Collection in Berlin. Collector Erich Marx consequently gathered together remarkable works of art worthy of being displayed to the general public, concentrating mainly on six artists, that is Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol. In 1996, his collection found a permanent home at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin’s Museum für Gegenwart.
